US Fab LLC, a Vigor Industrial subsidiary, has delivered a 180’ x 52’ x 10’ covered paper barge to Georgia-Pacific Consumer Products LP.
“ We have worked closely with Georgia Pacific on this project to provide them with a high quality barge that is built to last ” said Chris Morgan, Vice President of US Fa b. “ This vessel marks Hull #14 for our Swan Island facility in Portland, OR. ”
“ We are pleased to work with a local shipbuilder who has delivered a first-rate barge on time and on budget ,” said John Briggs of Georgia Pacific . He also noted, “ This barge will help Georgia Pacific continue to provide low-cost shipping for finished product from along the lower Columbia River to its warehouse in Portland, OR .”
The design for this state-of-the-art barge was provided by Associated Marine Systems from Corbett, OR and the details drawing was done by Elliot Bay Design Group in Seattle, WA.
