On May 22nd Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Co. Ltd., Shanghai, delivered MV Avonborg to Royal Wagenborg.
Christening and namegiving were performed by the three years old Yenthe Lukassen. The Avonborg is the twentieth in a row of Wagenborg’s 1A ice-classed, multipurpose vessels of 17.500 ton DWT, geared with three 60 ton deck-cranes, the Chinese yard is building for Wagenborg.
The maiden voyage will take the Avonborg from Xingang with project cargoes to Iquique, Chile.
