In early September, the repair of MV RDO CONCERT owned by a German company was smoothly accomplished by CIC Changxing Shipyard.
The ship entered the shipyard for her repair in late August. The main work included the cleaning and the steel renewal work of No.7 side oil tank, No. 4 & 5 ballast tanks, the renewal of the part of the cooling water pipes in engine room, the renewal of aluminum ladder steps on deck and the rectification of main part of the ladder.
According to the repair specification, the yard proposed a working schedule of 12 days. While the vessel was arranged to load the cargo ahead of her schedule, so the owners had to request the yard to deliver the ship in advance.
Abiding by the philosophy of “ The shipowner’s requirement is what we always pursue ”, the yard adjusted the repair schedule, which included working overtime till mid night for two days.
CIC Changxing shipyard arranged the repair reasonably and tried their best to finish the voyage repair ahead of schedule, which obtained the owner’s high praise.
