The repair of M.V. RBD ESPERANZA, undertaken by CIC Lixin Shipyard, has been smoothly accomplished recently. The vessel is owned by a famous German shipping company, and it was the second time that the owner awarded the repair contract to CIC Lixin Shipyard this year.
The vessel’s work scope included the routine dry-docking repair, the dock crane loading test and the renewal of the rubber packing of the hatch covers. Though the work volume of the subject vessel was not quite large, with the business philosophy of “The ship owner’s requirement is what we always pursue”, the relative staff of the shipyard made their efforts to ensure her on-time departure. The owner’s representative was satisfied with the repair quality and the schedule, and approved the shipyard’s working attitude.
The successful repair of the vessel has laid the foundation for the further cooperation between CIC-Shipyards and the owner. The owner has decided to award three repair projects to CIC-shipyards in 2013.
