CIC Changxing Shipyard has started the repair project of “Ocean Glory” a handy-size bulk carrier. The vessel arrived at the shipyard in the middle of January, 2013. It was her second special survey, and the main work scope was the treatment of cargo holds, the sandblasting of the hatch cover rubber channel, the maintenance of machinery & electrical equipment, and the routine dry-docking items.
The owner of the vessel is a Greek shipping company, who has commenced the cooperation with CIC Changxing Shipyards since 2010. The owner was relatively familiar with the shipyard, deeply impressed by shipyard’s technical strength & professional accomplishments, and thus awarded the repair project to CIC Changxing Shipyard after several rounds of intensive competition.
Although her work scope was not so large this time, the shipyard paid high attention to the vessel repair, and arranged her dry-docking upon the arrival. Regardless of some raining days during dry-docking period, CIC Changxing shipyard staff worked overtime in good quality & quantity to the satisfaction of the owner’s representatives.
