Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. yesterday announced the launch of a campaign targeting all MOL-operated vessels, starting on April 15.

MOL forges ahead to become the world leader in safe operation. As part of these efforts, President Muto, executives, and other personnel will visit MOL-operated vessels to meet on-board employees and exchange information and opinions about prevention of incidents. Proposals and ideas gained through these discussions will be shared throughout the MOL Group and with other group-operated vessels, to further enhance the MOL safe-operation structure.

Outline of campaign

1. Campaign period

April 15 to May 31, 2013

2. Specific topics for opinion and information exchange

The discussions will focus on “No down time incidents” and “No Injury incidents”. From them, based on the past experiences, we can derive measures to take in actual situations and exchange opinions about appropriate Tool Box Meetings.

3. Target vessels

MOL-operated vessels (dry bulkers, tankers, LNG carriers, car carriers, containerships)

MOL Group company-operated vessels (ferries, cruise ships, etc)
