Berge Bulk, independent dry bulk owner, has voiced its intention to order two plus two 250,000dwt very large ore carriers (VLOCs) from two separate Chinese shipyards, Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding and Bohai Shipbuilding Heavy Industry, SinoShip reported.
Based on the letter of intent, the company inked with the two shipbuilders, the vessels are slated for delivery in 2014 and 2015. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
Presently, Berge Bulk owns and operates a fleet of over 25 vessels, equating to over 7 million DWT.
