The launching of MAC Offshore’s Compact Semi-Submersible (CSS), CSS “Olympia” took place at the Liya Pingtan Shipyard, in Fujian Province, China, a yard managed by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding, STX Marine (STXM) reported.
The delivery of the vessel is due in Nov 2013 to CSS Olympia’s new owner Graal Invest of Brazil.
In addition, STXM congratulated MAC Offshore on the signing of four additional CSS contracts to be constructed by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding with delivery between Aug 2014 and Oct 2015. STXM recently signed the engineering contracts with the shipyard to provide the updated design package for each vessel based on the minor modifications to the successful CSS “Olympia”.
