Croatian shipyard Brodosplit signed a contract for construction of a river cruiser. The vessel is a passenger cruise ship intended for cruising along the Volga-Don inland Russian waterways with prevailing tours between Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The 105 meter-long ship measuring 16 meters in breadth will be able to accommodate on four decks 160 passengers in 82 luxuriously furnished cabins, while the crew will have 39 cabins at their disposal, with 69 crew members. Speed of 14 knots will be ensured by three high speed diesel propulsion engines reaching an output of total 2200 kW. The vessel will be built in accordance with the Rules and Regulations of the Russian River Register.

“With this order Brodosplit returns to the friendly Russian market after 25 years . The positive trend of receiving new contracts and reaching good agreements for Brodosplit brings additional arguments for a safe future, ” said Tomislav Debeljak, CEO of Brodosplit d.d.

The delivery is planned in the first half of 2015.
