Chengxi Shipyard hosted guests from Norwegian company Torvald Klaveness on June 21，2013 to celebrate jointly the naming of No.4 71, 900 SUL vessel, built by Chengxi for Klaveness.
Mr.Trond Harald Klaveness, owner and Chairman of Board, Mr. Lasse Kristofferson, President & CEO, Ms. Rebekka Glasser Herlofsen, the sponsor from Klaveness, Mr. Nick Brown, Country and Marine Manager for LR, China, Mr. Wang Yongliang, President, Mr. Cao Jiwei, Vice President, and Mr. Ji Jun from Chengxi, along with related representatives of owners, surveyors attended the ceremony which was presided by Mr. Cao Jiwei.
Mr. Wang Yongliang and Mr. Lasse Kristofferson delivered speeches respectively during the ceremony, expressing their gratitude and wishes for continuation of cooperation in the future. Finally, Ms. Rebekka Glasser Herlofsen sponsored the new vessel and wished it a safe sailing and good luck.

Self-unloaders are an efficient and economical solution for regional freight to ports and terminals with non-existing or limited receiving facilities. The gravity-fed self-unloaders discharge their cargo via enclosed conveyor systems. This minimises noise and dust, making this an attractive option for discharging close to populated areas.
