Hyundai Mipo Dockyard Co. (HMD) and Dole Food Co. Inc. yesterday signed a shipbuilding contract worth approx. $166.6 million for the construction of three 770 feu Reefer Container Ships.
HMD announced that the delivery of the vessels will start from November 2015 with the last vessel to be delivered to the owner by July 2016.
These so-called reefers will be 190 meters long and 30.4 meters wide and will carry 770 40-foot equivalent container boxes.
