Scorpio Bulkers Inc. has entered into agreements for the purchase of four Ultramax dry bulk vessels of 64,000 DWT and six Kamsarmax dry bulk vessels of 82,000 DWT currently under construction at two Chinese yards.
The four Ultramax vessels, being built at Chengxi shipyard Co., Ltd.(Chengxi) are scheduled for delivery in 2015 and 2016.
The other six Kamsarmax bulkers will be delivered from Hudong-Zhonghua Shipbuilding Co., Ltd.(Hudong-Zhonghua) also in 2015 and 2016.
The total purchase price for the vessels is around $278 million.
