Captain Sami Saeed Farea, Port of Aden’s Chairman, has met with Mr. Wu Jinping, Director General of the Chinese International Shipping Line ‘COSCO’ – West Asia – regional offices.

Representatives of the two companies discussed the activity of the shipping line and possibility to transfer containers to and from the Port of Aden again.

The two sides reviewed the services provided by the Port through Aden Container Terminal, and facilities that can be enjoyed by international shipping lines, as well as the willingness of the Port to receive container ships from those shipping lines, such as the Chinese line COSCO.

They also reviewed the developments that will take place in the Port of Aden in the near future through the implementation of a project to develop Aden Container Terminal and the expansion of the harbor approach channel by the Chinese company CHEC, with the generous funding from the Chinese government.
