Twenty Vessels Sold Last Week

Lion Shipbrokers said that a total of twenty vessels changed their owners last week. Namely, twelve bulk carriers, one container vessel and seven tankers have been acquired by various shippers. Lion Shipbrokers said that a total of twenty vessels changed their owners last week.

Namely, twelve bulk carriers, one container vessel and seven tankers have been acquired by various shippers.

M/V “OCEAN LILY” – 76,585 dwt, blt 2006 Imabari/Japan, NK, 7 HO/7 HA, MAN-B+W 6S60MC – Sold to Japanese buyers ( clients of Sanko ) for $25 mill (Note: buyers have vessel under time charter)

M/V “ORSOLINA BOTTIGLIERI” – 75,413 dwt, btl 2001 Hitachi/Japan, RI ss dd due 09/2014, 7 HO/7 HA, MAN-B+W – Sold to Far Eastern buyers for $18.75 mill

M/V “CROWN PRINCESS” – 52,347 dwt, blt 2005 Tsuneishi/Japan, LR, 5 HO/5 HA, MAN-B+W 6S50MC, Cr 4X30T – Sold to Greek buyers for $23 mill

M/V “ASIAN EXCELSIOR” – 45,190 dwt, blt 1996 CSBC/Taiwan, AB, ss due 06/2016, dd due 06/2014, 5 HO/5 HA, B+W 6S50MC, Cr 4X30.5T, LDT 7,970 – Sold to Greek buyers for $11.2 mill basis dry-docking due this June

M/V “ROMEA” – 38,852 dwt, blt 1995 IHI/Japan, RI ss dd due 05/2015, 5 HO/5 HA, Sulzer 6RTA52, Cr 4X25T – Sold to Turkish buyers for $8 mill

M/V “ORIENT SINGAPORE” – 33,688 dwt, blt 2011 Kurushima/Japan, NK, 5 HO/5 HA, Mitsubishi 6UEC45E, Cr 4X30T – Sold to Greek buyers ( hearing to clients of Dalex ) for $23 mill

M/V “FEDERAL POLARIS” – 29,536 dwt, blt 1985 NKK/Japan, AB Ice 1A, 5 HO/5 HA, Sulzer 6RTA, Cr 4X25T, lake fitted

M/V “FEDERAL FUJI” – 29,531 dwt, blt 1986 NKK/Japan, AB Ice 1A, 5 HO/5 HA, Sulzer 6RTA, Cr 4X25T, lake fitted – Both sold to Syrian or Eastern European buyers for $6.9 mill (Note: ships were Super Ice 1A lakers with 3 generators)

M/T “HELLAS CONSTELLATION” – 46,162 dwt, blt 2000 Hyundai/S. Korea, AB ss dd due 06/2014, 12 tanks, capacity 50,715 cbm, MAN-B+W 6S50MC – Sold to European buyers for $11.9 mill

M/T “MAEMI” – 19,859 dwt, blt 2008 Fukuoka/Japan, NK, 18 tanks, capacity 20,477 cbm, MAN-B+W 6S42MC – Sold to US based buyers for $27 mill

M/T “MAR ALMUDENA” – 9,776 dwt, blt 1994 Unl/Spain, LR ss dd due 12/2014, 6 tanks, capacity 9,850 cbm, Wartsila 8R32E, Ldt 2781, epoxy coated – Sold to undisclosed buyers for $4.4 mill
