Rough sea can be relentless and unforgiving for those trying to abandon ship as fast as possible. Open lifeboats became a thing of the past now replaced with freefall lifeboats which can be launched quickly and safely.

But before one opts to purchase these freefallers, they should see them in action.

Take a look at the following video showing droptests of Verhoef FL50-NS Aluminium Freefall Lifeboat in the Port of Amsterdam, the Netherlands.

FL50-NS is designed and fully certified according Statoil and NMA requirements, including DNV-OS-E406 and Norsok R-002.

The craft features maximum positive headway and minimal g-forces.
