At least ten yachts moored outside Medway Yacht Club were struck and badly damaged yesterday by what is believed to be a dredger in the fog.

Fortunately, no one was on board of the yachts at the time of the incident, so there were no injuries.

According to one sailor from Bromley, the dredger Arco Arun allegedly struck the vessels, and then radioed Medway Vessel Traffic Services that contact had been made “with a couple of yachts”.
