AIDAprima, a newly built cruise ship owned by German-based cruise line AIDA Cruises, is currently sailing on its first voyage from Nagasaki to Hamburg, with its route including several ports. The photo shows the ship at the Salalah port on March 30 ready to set sail for its next destination, Limassol.

Following the ship’s delivery from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard, the voyage from Nagasaki started on March 14, 2016, encompassing calls at Singapore, Salalah, Limassol, passage through the Suez Canal and stopping at Cadiz. The voyage is to be rounded off with a visit to Rotterdam on April 14, before the ship reaches Hamburg on April 21.

With its gross tonnage of 124,700, the ship is equipped with Mitsubishi Air Lubrication System which enhances fuel efficiency, a pod propulsion system, liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel supply system, the latest gas emissions treatment system, and a new air-conditioning system.

The 9,200 dwt cruise ship has a length of 300 m, width of 37 m and height of 54 m.

Built to accommodate 3,300 guests and over 900 crew members, AIDAprima will be christened on May 7 on the 827th Hamburg Port Anniversary.

According to Marine Traffic, the vessel is currently located in Cadiz, Spain.
