Denmark-based shipowner Celsius Shipping has purchased two 57,000 dwt Supramax bulk carriers from German shipping company Conti Group KG for a price of USD 8 million each, according to data provided by VesselsValue.

The vessels in question are the Conti Flint and the Conti Fuchsit, both built in 2012 at China’s shipyard COSCO Guangdong.

VesselsValue data shows that the market value of each ship stands at USD 11.5 million.

The purchase was made just days after Celsius Shipping decided to buy two 63,500 dwt Ultramax bulkers from French shipowner Setaf Saget.

The two Ultramaxes, namely the 2012-built JS Rhin and JS Loire, were purchased for a price of USD 12.75 million each on August 26.
