Hispania Spirit, a liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier owned by Bermuda-based Teekay LNG Partners, recently underwent a dry-docking process at Navantia Ferrol Shipyard in Spain.

During the drydocking, a vessel is taken to a service yard and brought to dry land so that submerged portions of the hull can be cleaned and inspected. Since 2013, Teekay has drydocked a total of 17 vessels.

An average number of days required to complete all repairs and surveys at drydocking is 19. In addition, 200 workers need to work on the entire vessel on a daily basis during drydocking.

Hispania Spirit, which flies the flag of Spain, features a length of 279.8 meters and a width of 43.4 meters.

The 137,814 cbm ship was built by South Korean shipbuilder Daewoo Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering (DSME) in 2002.

Take a look at the video below which shows how the ship got a new paint job.
