The three tankers, built in 2005 by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard, are British Courtesy, British Serenity and British Tranquility.

The British-flagged ships form part of BP’s Virtue class comprising five ships. The vessels are operated by BP Shipping Limited and classed by Lloyds Register.

The identity of the buyer has not been disclosed.

The vessels, the sale of which is put on due diligence, is expected to bring BP a total of USD 36.6 million, according to VesselsValue.
