The London-based law firm, Watson Farley & Williams (WFW) advised the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (BTMU) on a $180 million refinancing of two K-Line LNG carriers.

Acting as a facility agent for a syndicate comprising itself, Development Bank of Japan and Societe Generale advised on refinancing of the Arctic Voyager and Arctic Discoverer.

The WFW Hong Kong asset finance team advising on the transaction was led by partner and office head Madeline Leong, the law firms’ statement reads.

K-Line LNG Shipping (UK)-managed vessels have been delivered in 2006 and are both under 20-year charter deals with the Norwegian energy giant Statoil, delivering cargoes from the Hammerfest LNG export facility on Melkoya island.
