Gertjan de Gelder, sales director at Koedood , and Ron Verschoor, business development manager at Kooiman Marine Group , talk about their new innovation, the K2 hydrogen generator.
According to Verschoor , K2 is “a container which is capable of transforming hydrogen into an electrical power supply to be used, for instance, onboard a ship and maybe in the later stages on several other working stations.”
The two companies have developed a 100 kW container and are currently developing a 500 kW version, De Gelder and Verschoor stated.
K2 will be the first certified container to be used onboard a ship, which is planned for January 2022.
