Clipper Sells Mols-Linien Stake

Clipper Group A/S has entered into an agreement with private equity firm Polaris to sell the remaining stake in Danish ferry company Mols-Linien.

Under the deal, Clipper sold its 29.95% interest (4,243,277 shares) to Polaris, which revealed its intention to buy the shares last week. The fund offered to pay DKK 34 (USD 5) per ferry operator’s share.

Polaris said that once the sale is completed it would delist the ferry operator from the stock exchange as it was too small to be listed.

The fund said that the owners of the 49.2 % stake in Mols-Linien also promised to sell their stake to Polaris.

The ferry operator has three high-speed ferries operating from Jutland to the island of Zealand.
