The order for the first four bulkers was signed back in March and the vessels will join the shipowner’s fleet in the second half of 2015.

The eight newbuildings, to be designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (Sdari), will also feature eco-friendly Dolphin 64 design.

The delivery of the eight bulkers, to be classed by Lloyd’s Register, will take place from November 2015 to June 2016.

Conti Reederei already ordered last year eight vessels with the same shipyard that will be delivered in the first half of 2015.
