The ceremony was held at the vessel’s home port, Donsö, Furetank Rederi said in a brief statement through its social media channels.

The 149.9 meters-long Fur Vinga, built by China’s Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding, completed sea trials earlier this year and is set to start operations soon.

It is the first of six LNG-fueled vessels ordered by the partners in the Swedish Gothia Tanker Alliance, Furetank, Älvtank and Erik Thun, and the second LNG-fueled vessel in Furetank’s fleet after the retrofitted chemical tanker Fure West, which has been running on LNG since 2015.

Near the end of May, the vessel bunkered LNG at the port of Cartagena and earlier this week, Fure Vinga was bunkered with liquefied biogas (LBG) at the port of Gothenburg.
