Monaco-based LNG shipper GasLog on Monday said it’s latest newbuild has been floated out at the South Korean shipyard, Hyundai Heavy Industries.

What the company calls “Hull 2800” is a liquefied natural gas carrier with the transport capacity of 174,000 cubic meters.

It is the first of two vessels ordered at HHI in 2014 when GasLog said it has also secured up to four options.

According to GasLog’s website, Hull 2800 is one of five vessels scheduled for delivery in 2018 and 2019, with one of the vessels having the capacity of 180,000 cubic meters and all featuring two stroke diesel engines with low-pressure gas injection (LP-2S).
