The order was placed in the second quarter of 2023 on behalf of an Asian ship-owner, GTT informed.

The containment specialist company will design the tanks of the two vessels, which will each offer a total cargo capacity of 174,000 m3 and will be fitted with the Mark III Flex membrane containment system, developed by GTT.

The delivery of the vessels is scheduled for the first and second quarters of 2027.

This year, GTT received multiple orders from Hyundai Samho.

The South Korean shipyard chose GTT tank designs for multiple LNGCs as well as very large ethane carriers (VLECs). The orders were made on behalf of European, Middle Eastern, and Asian shipowners.
