Mexico set for Peruvian LNG cargo

Peru’s only liquefaction facility at Pampa Melchorita dispatched another cargo of liquefied natural gas to Mexico last week.

The cargo was loaded on July 8 onboard the 136,600 cbm LNG carrier Galea and sent on its way to Mexico, data from the state-owned Perupetro reveals.

Although Perupetro has not confirmed the exact destination of the vessel it is probably heading for the Manzanillo LNG terminal in the Colima state.

With the Galea dispatched from the facility, the total number of cargoes loaded at the Pampa Melchorita plant since the start of operations in June 2010 has reached 338.
