South Hook to Get LNG Cargo This Week

UK’s South Hook liquefied natural gas terminal is expected to receive a cargo of LNG on March 22, port data reveals.

The Al Kharsaah LNG tanker, with a capacity of 214,198 cubic metres, is transporting the cargo from Ras Laffan, Qatar.

The South Hook terminal can process 15.6 million tonnes of LNG a year and is capable of delivering 21 Bcm of gas per annum into the UK’s national transmission system.

Qatar Petroleum owns 67.5 per cent of South Hook LNG Terminal Co, Exxon Mobil Corp 24.15 per cent and Total SA owns the rest.
