Report: USCG Investigating Death aboard Chemical Tanker

The United States Coast Guard has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death on board the tanker Argent Sunrise, moored off the coast of Richmond, California the local media report.

The body of a man in his 30s was recovered from the vessel on Monday, following a report from a shipping agent on Sunday, November 12.

As informed, the ship was docked at the ConocoPhillips terminal at the time.

Based on the vessel’s latest AIS data, the Panama-flagged chemical tanker, built in 2008, is “stopped” in Stockton.

The ship is listed as part of Singapore-based MOL Chemical Tankers’ fleet.
