The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC) has sued for the use of vessels for transporting crude oil.

The corporation made the proposal to the Federal Government following the recent regular occurrence of pipeline vandalisation and the frequent kidnap of oil workers especially expatriates.

Following this, most depots at the moment are without petroleum products as pipeline supplying them have been damaged as a result of pipeline vandalisation, causing disruption, constant shortage of PMS and increase in oil prices.
