The meeting, which was held at the DMCA headquarters in the presence of owners of commercial vessels and their representatives, discussed current challenges and the best ways to improve marine inspection services.

The forum shed light on marine inspection strategies that focus on matching the highest standards of maritime and navigational safety and operational efficiency of crafts across the Dubai coastline. Such strategies implement best practices and ensure coordination between industry-related government authorities and entities in Dubai and the UAE.

DMCA and NTA officials emphasized the importance of strengthening their joint cooperation in order to promote investment opportunities in the maritime sector and to provide the best services that meet the aspirations and needs of Dubai’s maritime sector stakeholders.

Amer Ali, Executive Director, Dubai Maritime City Authority , said: “ We are highly committed to promoting cooperation with our strategic partners from government and stakeholders of the Dubai maritime sector. Together, we can achieve our shared aspirations of boosting Dubai’s competitiveness at the regional and international levels and positioning Dubai among the world’s leading developed maritime centers.”

“We intend to meet all the needs of owners of commercial vessels who are playing a vital role in the growth of Dubai’s economic landscape. We will also work closely to launch joint initiatives that embody the ambitious vision of enhancing the investment environment in order to attract maritime leaders from all over the world and uplift Dubai’s status as a world-class maritime hub, ” concluded Ali.
