Nor Lines of Norway said it has taken the delivery of its second LNG-powered ro-ro cargo vessel, MV Kvitnos.

The vessel recently departed from Tsuji Heavy Industries shipyard in Jiangsu, China to Norway.

According to shipping data, Kvitnos passed through the Strait of Malacca on Friday, and it is expected to arrive in Norway in August.

The LNG-powered vessel is a sister ship to Kvitbjørn, which ran aground on June 27 near Ulsteinvik in the Ålesund area in Norway.

The ship, which is about 120 metres long and 21 metres wide, has a cargo capacity of 122 TEUs, about 1,000 lane metres and it is equipped with an onboard crane able to lift 80 tonnes.

Kvitnos will operate between northern Europe and Norway coast to northern Norway.
