General Director of FSUE Rosmorport, Andrey Tarasenko, recently made a visit to JSC “Krasnoye Sormovo” shipyard in Nizhniy Novgorod to inspect construction of the company’s three trailing suction hopper dredgers.

At the moment, the shipyard is working on three 1000 m³ TSHDs that will be stationed at seaports of Ust-Luga, Big Port St. Petersburg and Port of Tuapse.

The newbuilds – equipped with the necessary high-dredging equipment, suitable for the climatic conditions of the region – will be delivered with the multifunctional sinking suction pump type DOP 200.

After the visit to the site, a meeting with the plant administration was held dedicated to fulfilment of the contract. It was emphasized that the construction meets the timelines of the project, and even overtakes them slightly.

Delivery of the three THSDs, named Sommers, Kronshlot and Kadosh, has been set for 2016 and 2017, respectively.
