The newbuilding was delivered on 4 January 2021 by the South Korean Hyundai Heavy Industries. It is the second of seven sister ships to be delivered between 2020 and 2023.

The carrier has been chartered to BP Shipping for a period up to 12 years.

Aristidis I features a cargo capacity of 174,000 cubic metres. The highly efficient vessel is propelled with XDF engines and equipped with the latest available technologies, including an air lubrication system and increased filling limits (more than 99 per cent).

The Greek shipping company, a unit of Capital Maritime Group, is currently operating a fleet of 7 LNG Carriers with a total carrying capacity of approximately 1.2 million cubic meters.
