Siem Industries has placed an order with a Chinese shipyard for two offshore subsea construction vessels (OSCVs) that will be 145 meters long.

The vessels will be built by Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding and were designed by Sirius Design & Integration in close cooperation with the Siem team and the shipyard.

Both will be equipped with a 400-ton AHC subsea crane and a 50mt AHC subsea crane. They will be 145 meters long and will have a beam of 27 meters.

According to Siem, the design focuses on operational flexibility and energy efficiency, enabling the vessels to support a broad range of activities across the offshore energy sectors.

Delivery is scheduled for 2029 and 2030.

"The order represents a further commitment by Siem Industries to the offshore subsea sector, building on our experience in the ownership and operation of specialised offshore vessels," the company stated.
