Dron & Dickson to Conduct Electrical Inspecting SBM Offshore's Assets

Dron & Dickson, specialists in design, supply and maintenance of hazardous area electrical equipment, has secured a contract with SBM Offshore.  The project will see Dron & Dickson carry out electrical inspection and maintenance on SBM Offshore’s assets. The Global Frame Agreement began in late 2012.

Dron & Dickson will provide a team of 60 to service the operation, including a rope access team for high-level maintenance. The firm will also provide a dedicated engineering manager to oversee work being done in all regions.

Colin Maver, Group director at Dron & Dickson, said: “This contract recognises our track record in offshore electrical maintenance and is testament to our high levels of experience in safety and competence. We are investing heavily in our staff capabilities and compliance expertise, and look forward to seeing out all aspects of this operation, our first with SBM Offshore.

“Dron & Dickson has a growing portfolio of clients around the world, and we are pleased to continue expanding globally with this operation, expanding our reach in areas such as Africa and South America.”

In addition to providing Ex maintenance, the frame agreement with SBM Offshore also allows for the provision of additional services, such as condition monitoring and trace heating maintenance.
