Norwegian shipping company GC Rieber Shipping has entered into a letter of intent for the construction of a fully electric battery-powered freight carrier.
Enova, a Norwegian government enterprise, has decided to support seven electric vessels and four charging facilities with around NOK 362 million (about €31.6 million).
