Gazprom’s year-to-date natural gas production edges up

Russian giant Gazprom saw its natural gas production edge up 0.6 percent between January 1 and December 15, 2019.

The production reached an estimated 476.5 billion cubic meters of gas, 3 billion cubic meters above the volumes produced over the same period in 2018.

The demand for natural gas from the national gas transmission system in the domestic market remained at last year’s level, the company said in a brief statement through its social media channels.

Gazprom’s gas deliveries to Europe amounted to 188.1 billion cubic meters, which is 99.9 percent of the amount delivered in the first eleven and a half months in the record year of 2018, and up by 1.9 percent over the volumes delivered in the same period in 2017.

The company increased its gas exports to a number of countries this year, specifically to Austria by 30.8 percent, to Hungary by 38 percent, to the Netherlands by 36.9 percent, to the Czech Republic by 28.7 percent, to Slovakia by 36.8 percent and to France by 9.1 percent.
