China: December LNG Imports Rise 21 Percent YoY

China, the world’s biggest energy consumer, imported 1.83 million tons of liquefied natural gas in December, up 21 percent compared to a year earlier, customs data showed.

China’s cumulative imports for the period from January to December reached 14.68 million tons, up 20.3% on year.

The country imported 1.08 million tons of liquefied natural gas in November.
