Oil Search Updates on Hagana 1 Well

Oil Search reported that on Thursday, the Hagana 1 well was at a depth of 2,839 metres and running in with a new drill bit prior to drilling in a n 8 – 1 / 2 ” hole towards the secondary Pliocene-age objective.

Drilling progress for the week was 89 metres. During the week, logging of the primary objective was completed and 9 – 5 / 8 ” casing was set and cemented.

The Hagana prospect lies approximately 225 kilometres west-northwest of Port Moresby and 10 kilometres northeast from the Flinders 1 gas discovery, in a water depth of approximately 105 metres.

The participants in Hagana 1 are: Oil Search 40%, Total E&P PNG 4 B.V. 40% and Nippon Oil Exploration (Niugini) Pty Limited 20%.
