Shire of Esperance Receives Beach Replenishment Funds

The Shire of Esperance has received $50,000 in Western Australian Government funding to help protect the coastal town’s beachfront, according to abc.net.au.

One million dollars has been distributed to 10 local shires or coastal management group across Western Australia, to protect the state’s coastline.

Funding for Esperance will go towards maintaining beach amenities and infrastructure by reducing erosion on the foreshore, as well as sand replenishment.
