Azeri, Kazakh geologists pen cooperation deal

First Vice-President of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) Khoshbakht Yusifzade received Kazakh delegation led by Academician Baltabek Kuandykov, Chairman of the Kazakh Petroleum Geologists Society, on Friday, May 16.

Yusifzade spoke about an important role of Azerbaijani oilmen and geologists in exploration of oil and gas structures in the Kazakh sector of the Caspian Sea, as well as in the development of Kazakh energy sector.

He also briefed on the recent global and regional projects carried out in the oil industry in the country.

Chairman of the Kazakh Petroleum Geologists Society Baltabek Kuandykov hailed the achievements of Azerbaijan in the energy sector, regional and global oil and gas projects of the country.

Afterwards, Geologists Societies of the two countries signed a cooperation agreement on holding joint research and geological exploration activities, as well as exchanging the personnel and hold various consultations.
