Bahria Town, K-Electric to build LNG-fired power plant

Bahria Town and K-Electric entered an agreement to address Karachi’s power shortage issues by adding 500 MW to the power grid. 

According to Express Tribune report, Bahria Town and K-Electric intend to invest billions of rupees to set up two power plants in the next three or four years.

One of the plants will be a 300 MW coal-fired power plant while the other 200 MW will be produced by an LNG-powered power plant.
