Bestobell Secures Contract for Six LNG Carriers

Bestobell Valves said it has secured a major new contract which brings the total of contracts for its innovative patented Float Level Insulation Valves (FLIV) across the world to over 100.

The new contract for FLIV is with Bestobell’s Chinese partner, Valseal International Ltd on behalf of Hudong Shipyard in Shanghai, China.

The order is for the six China Shipping and Mitsui O.S.K Lines LNG carriers that will be built there.

This is a major achievement for Bestobell and Valseal, and will help secure Bestobell’s position as a major supplier of LNG cryogenic valves in the expanding Chinese LNG carrier new build market.

Bestobell also announced it has appointed a new agent in Japan, as part of its international trading strategy to develop its business even further in the Far East.

Novenco Nippon, has over 30 years’ experience supplying a wide range of industrial equipment into the marine industry. The company is a trading partner of Novenco Group, a Danish company which manufactures ventilation and air conditioning systems that are widely used within cruise ships and other vessels. The company has been commended for its expertise in helping international businesses to sell into Japan.

Duncan Gaskin, Sales Director, said: “We are delighted to announce our new agency agreement with Novenco Nippon. The company has a strong reputation and has excellent contacts with Japanese shipyards and owners. With the increase in the building of new LNG Carriers in the Far East, Novenco Nippon will help us to further increase market share for our valves in this region.”
