Blast Hits Egyptyan Gas Pipeline

An Egyptian pipeline, which transports gas to Israel and Jordan, was attacked on Monday.

The blast struck in the northern Sinai at the entrance of the Mediterranean coastal town of Al-Arish.

This was at least the 14th attack on the pipeline since the end of the Mubarak regime last year.

Israel imports 43 % of its natural gas needs from Egypt, while Jordan imports 80 %.
