Cemre Launches Ocean Dolphin SSV

Cemre Shipyard, based in Yalova – Altınova Shipyards region in Turkey, has launched NB35 “Ocean Dolphin” seismic support vessel (SSV).

The vessel is the first of two seismic support vessels ordered by Norfield back in December 2013.

The Bureau Veritas-classed SVV has a length of 69,8 meters a width of 17 meters and it can accommodate up to 60 persons.

The SALT 450 SSV design has a HFO/MDO cargo capacity of 2,000m3, working deck area of 500m2, and a bollard pull of 55 tonnes.

The second seismic support vessel, currently under construction at Cemre, will be operated by Vestland Offshore AS, as well as the newly-built Ocean Dolphin.
