CEO Says All Qatargas 1 LNG Trains to be Shut for Maintenance

Qatargas plans to shut all three trains at the Qatargas 1 project in the third week of April for three weeks for maintenance.

This is a normal planned shutdown,” chief executive of Qatargas, Khalid bin Khalifa al-Thani told Reuters.

Qatargas 1 consists of three onshore LNG trains with a total combined capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum.

Qatragas isĀ  the largest LNG producer in the world, with an annual LNG production capacity of 42 million tonnes per annum.

The company completed the maintenance of its Trains 5, 6 and 7 and Qatargas 3 and 4 inlet receiving facilities in December.
