Cheniere starts Sabine Pass LNG trains 3 and 4 maintenance

Houston-based LNG exporter Cheniere Energy has started its maintenance works at the third and fourth liquefaction trains at the Sabine Pass facility in Louisiana.

The company added that the turnarounds, scheduled previously, are expected to last about three weeks, in line with the turnaround period for the first two liquefaction trains performed earlier in the year, Reuters reports.

In its last weekly report, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) noted that sic cargoes have been dispatched from the Sabine Pass facility.

Reuters further reports the gas flows to the Sabine Pass facility have slipped to 2.3 billion cubic feet per day on Sunday which compares to 3.8 bcf/d during the past week.

Cheniere is building six trains at the Sabine Pass LNG facility, with the company reaching final investment decision (FID) on its sixth train in June this year. It additionally increased its run-rate production guidance to 4.7 – 5.0 mtpa per train, up from 4.4 – 4.9 mtpa per train.
