China: Dalian LNG Terminal Wins Quality Project Gold Medal

Recently, China Association of Petroleum Engineering Construction, officially released the results of appraisal for Petroleum Quality Projects of the year 2013. Wherein, Dalian LNG Terminal, of which Kunlun Energy is the holding company, was awarded the Quality Project Gold Medal, becoming the only LNG project in China to receive such an honor.

Dalian LNG Terminal project is a strategic project of Kunlun Energy to rigorously develop the natural gas business and to ascertain the LNG resource guarantee capabilities.

Facing a brand-new business realm and monopoly of foreign technologies, the Project insisted on independent innovation and has tackled a series of major difficulties.

Relying entirely on domestic technologies, the Project realized self-design, self-procurement, self-construction and self-management.

Dalian LNG Terminal project, featuring advanced technologies, comprehensive business functions, high localization rate, good quality of engineering and low investment, has set several new records in domestic LNG project construction.

The project has been completed one year earlier with successful one-time trial operation and production, becoming profitable from the first year of production.

Moreover, no safety and environmental accidents were recorded, while the project’s main technological and managerial indicators reached the domestic leading advanced standard and first-class abroad.
